The systems integrated use a separate management of the Current Medications and the Prescriptions lists.
Current Medications List is a clinician maintained list of medications - supplied via MedicationStatement
Note:
- current medication list only contains drug, dose, route information (no administrative prescription information)
- when prescriptions are written items are automatically added to the current medications list
- current medications list can contain items related to scripts that have been deleted
Prescriptions List is a record of printed prescriptions - supplied via MedicationOrder
Note:
- prescription list contains printed script information including script number, approvals, PBS status, regulation 24 etc.
